The history of Strandgaarden on Læsø dates back over 300 years. While it hasn’t always been a hotel, it has now become a cherished destination for those seeking authentic island charm.

Situated in a picturesque natural setting and just 100 meters from Læsø’s finest beach, the renovated estate now offers 14 unique rooms, restaurant facilities, a cozy courtyard, and beautifully maintained gardens. Hotel Strandgaarden is open seasonally from April to October.

Hotel Strandgaarden features 14 unique rooms, each exuding nostalgic island charm. For a cozy experience in the old half-timbered farmhouse, book one of our Attic Rooms, offering authentic countryside ambiance. Our attic rooms are newly renovated in 2025.

In the annex, you’ll find our inviting Comfort Rooms, each with its own private terrace overlooking the garden. For a cosy luxury experience, choose our Comfort Deluxe or the Deluxe Suite, located in two newly built houses behind the historic farmhouse.

Season 2025 ends on September 28. We thank all our guests for a fantastic year at Strandgården Badehotel.

We’re already looking forward to the 2026 season, when we’ll be extending our opening period to include both Easter and the autumn holidays!

Please note:

• April: Open during Easter – closed monday-thursday in the other weeks
• May: Closed May 4-7 and May 11-12
• September/October: Closed Monday-Wednesday every week except during autumn holiday (open every day)

Breakfast

Our breakfast offers a hearty and delicious start to the day with wonderful local ingredients. When the number of guests allows, we serve a delightful breakfast buffet – otherwise, we offer table service.

Dinner & Beverages

Our trust bar offers a selection of beer, soft drinks, wine, coffee, tea, and ice cream. As we do not have a dinner restaurant, guests are welcome to bring take-away and enjoy it in the restaurant or the garden – we provide tableware and take care of the dishes when beverages are purchased from the trust bar. As a new addition, we also have a gas grill on the terrace, which guests are welcome to use.
